It's built for the PlayStation 5 DualSense wireless controller. That's the one it's tested against and the one we support.

It is not a universal adapter — it isn't for Xbox pads, Switch Pro controllers, or the older DualShock 4.

No. No driver, no launcher, no background app, no account. The Bridge presents itself to Windows as a wired controller, so Windows already knows what to do with it.

That's also why it works on a machine with no internet connection, and why it keeps working after a Windows update.

Yes, and that's the entire reason to buy one. Because Windows sees the same device it would see over a cable, games get the full feature set — trigger resistance, textured rumble, all of it.

Plain Bluetooth is what strips those out. A cable keeps them but keeps you tethered. The Bridge is the version where you get both.

500 Hz out of the box, and yes — the control panel on the dongle has a report rate switch with three settings: 250 Hz, 500 Hz and full speed. Pick one and it sticks.

250 and 500 Hz are caps. The dongle sends your PC a report on a fixed schedule — 250 or 500 times a second, evenly spaced, every second.

Full speed takes the cap off. Instead of waiting for the next slot, the dongle forwards every report the instant it arrives. There's no set number any more: you get whatever your controller and the wireless link actually deliver, and that figure moves around with your hardware. It's the lowest-latency setting of the three.

500 Hz is the default because it's a steady, predictable rate that behaves the same on every machine we've put it on. We quote that number rather than the biggest one the hardware can be pushed to.

And since full speed has no fixed figure anyone can promise you, the panel includes a Measure button that counts the reports genuinely arriving — so you can read your own number instead of taking ours.

Yes. Steam sees a controller and its own controller support handles it normally, including Steam Input if you use it.

One Bridge holds one controller at a time. For two-player local you'd want two Bridges — they don't interfere with each other.

Swapping the paired controller takes about five seconds, so a single Bridge is fine if the second controller is only occasional.

Windows 10 and 11 are what we build and test for, so that's what we'll promise.

It presents as a standard wired controller, so it may well work elsewhere — but we haven't tested it and won't claim it. If you try it somewhere unusual, tell us how it went and we'll add it here.

Unplug it, wait a full five minutes, plug it back in, and pair again. That fixes the large majority of pairing problems — the wait is what lets both sides forget a half-finished attempt.

If that doesn't do it: try a USB port directly on the motherboard, make sure the controller is charged, and remove the controller from your Windows Bluetooth device list if it's in there. The setup guide has the longer version.

Almost always this is the controller having been paired to something else in the meantime — a PS5, or another dongle. The controller drops its side of the link and needs putting back into pairing mode with PS + Create.

If it still won't take after a five-minute reset and a fresh pair, email us. Some early units shipped with a firmware bug in exactly this area and we'll get you onto the current build.

Updates are free and always optional. The dongle carries its own control panel, so there's nothing to download to get started.

Get the dongle out from behind the PC. A steel case between the dongle and you costs more range than anything else. That's what the extension cable in the box is for.

It's designed for couch-to-desk distance in one room, not for reaching another floor of the house.

One year on the hardware from the day it arrives. If it fails in normal use we repair or replace it and cover the cost of doing so.

These are built to order in small batches, so usually within five business days. You get an email with tracking the moment the label prints.

US delivery is a few days after that. International is typically 7 to 21 days in transit.

On international orders, possibly — import duties and VAT are set by your own country and collected on delivery, not by us. They aren't included in the price and we have no way to pay them on your behalf.
